Richard Jay Belzer, an American entertainer, professional comic, and creator most popular for his job as investigator John Crunch, on the NBC police show series Manslaughter: Life In the city and Regulation and Request: Exceptional Casualties Unit, died at 78 years old.

Caza depicted the 73-year-old Belzer as “an incredible, fascinating man. He was consistently out consuming society in the city. We’ll miss, Len. It’s a disgrace.”
